Mademoiselles, Mademoiselles,....

Ever been tempted to grab a bottle of nail polish and paint the soles of your black pumps lacquer red???!! I'm this close. I'm just dying for a pair, I mean, I deserve a pair..after all that suffering! It's gotten so bad that every time I spot a chick in any kind of black pumps, I only need 6 seconds to give them the once-over, and if they do not meet the louboutiments, I cast her into a bottomless shoe-pit at once!

Eureka!!!... Friday grocery shopping!!!! ..NO NO, that won't work, I'll have to steal it...OK, I nick the husband's Mastercard, dash to Milan,(It's just an hour-and-a-half away) purchase a fabulous pair, and hire a divorce lawyer with whatever's left on the card. It's the only way, lest I be doomed to that unfabulous Louboutinless pit.

Oh, Monsieur Louboutin, you home wrecker you!

Oh well, look on the bright side, it's all for a good cause I mean you gotta have one of those...priceless ~~pieces~~ pairs of art.

I play poker. Home games and mostly online tournaments. The husband initiated me some two years ago. At first, I condemned it like the cardinal sin-“thou shalt not gamble“. Endless number of times I threatened leaving him if he didn’t stop. But then his wallet started getting thicker, and being the Nigerian girl that I am, I quickly took to the game and I haven’t looked back since.

Don’t get it twisted though, if we got a dime for every time we’ve sworn on a stack of bibles never to play poker again, we’d be billionaires by now.

There were days I’ve had to restrain him from throwing his mac out the window, replace a broken lamp or pick the throw pillows off the floor, (all 23 of them) and to date, I’ve replaced four mouse devices.

But nothing makes life sweeter than when these downswings are overcome by ‘cashing out’. The oh-so sweet feeling of hitting the withdrawal button and smiling to the ATM five business days later.

Now,I won’t even bother arguing with poker-illiterates out there on whether or not poker is gambling. POKER IS A SPORT. Enough said.

If you’re wondering why I’ve set up a poker page on this blog, that’s because poker constitutes a MAJOR part of my life. I will play poker for food or/and shoes. Need I remind you that I’m a jobless, hopeless ~~illegal~~ undocumented alien? So, while the husband's away at work trying to make an honest living for us, I’m home ~~gambling~~ playing poker.
